We will take a thorough history and find out what type of dizziness you suffer from. A neurological examination will be performed, and if necessary we will send you for further examinations, possibly an MRI or a visit to a neurologist.
Chiropractic treatment has been found effective if the cause of your dizziness is a restriction of movement and function of your neck. This is known as Cervicogenic dizziness. The motion and positional receptors in your neck are sending abnormal signals to your brain, the result is often described as a rocking or side to side sensation.
Benign positional paroxysmal vertigo (BPPV) is another type of dizziness that can be successively treated at our clinic. In this case the problem comes from your inner ear, and the symptoms are often described as a violent, spinning sensation and commonly occurs when you bend down or turn in bed.
